What to expect from yoga therapy. 

When you arrive for a session, we will talk about what it is that you want out of the session. What it is that is bringing you into the session, what your goals are, I will listen to what it is you are looking for and if there are any concerns that need to be addressed or taken into consideration during the session. Once we have discussed the plan for the session (hands on or hands off/any other considerations) we will progress to some breath and movement.

Once you have warmed up, I will take you through several supported postures using my body or props, or self-supported yoga postures that will be held for longer periods of time. These postures can be held for as long as you want to, and you can move from those postures whenever you want or need to. Things can come up at different times and this can be uncomfortable, but you are in control and can ask for changes at any time.

After some dropping in and present centered awareness, I will guide you into meditation and encourage you to look back at your experience to see if there is anything that seems significant to you.  You may find some insights come to you during our session and you develop a goal to complete before our next session.
